Unbarred Brewery

UnBarred was established in 2014 from the shed by our founder and chief brewer Jordan Mower. Born out of a passion for brewing uncompromising and exciting beers, our original flagship IPA won the Bev Robbins Award for Best Sussex Beer in its first year of production. We soon grew out of the shed and switched to gypsy brewing, which made it possible for us to increase production and hone our craftsmanship, along with other fantastic breweries.

Since establishing our taproom and brewery in the heart of Brighton in August 2019, we have doubled our production and embraced the Brighton community we call home. Our core range is in stock across the country, along with ltd editions that embody the creativity, passion and freedom that has always defined our core ethos. We love collaborating with other breweries that share the same values.

We are inclusive, passionate and adventurous in everything we do, from our beer concept to our design, brewing and welcoming experience in the dining room. To celebrate our roots, we love working with local artists, independent companies and other creatives to showcase the best of vibrant culture and boundless innovation in this beautiful city.
